Summer Vacation 2012

Earlier this month, Birdie and Scoops treated the whole family (Jill's side) to a full week at the beach in Port A. We had so much fun playing in the sun!  It was a perfect vacation spot and the cool 3 story house, which had its own pool, was just a piers walk to the beach. The extra r & r that the week provided was so awesome (just ask Kyle :). Mimi, Birdie's mom, joined us for several days and had a great time playing with her great grandchildren.  It was fun having 4 generations of family there...what a blessing! Brodie's favorite part of the trip (well, at least one of his fav's)  was hitting the beach at night. Birdie bought all the kids a head lamp so they could hunt for ghost crabs once it got dark. And crab hunting they did. Brodie surprised me with his fearlessness (he is normally NOT fearless) and desire to catch and hold the crabs in his hands. One even pinched him pretty good. Ouch. Check out the pictures below to see how big some of them were. And what would vacation be without yummy food?  We all took turns cooking each night and returned home spoiled from all the wonderful meals. Vacations really are the best.  I can't wait for the next one :)  Thanks Birdie and Scoops for a super duper fun time!
