I would venture to say that we would never try to model our lives after the country singing icon known as Hank Williams, Jr...but we ARE attempting to start some FAMILY TRADITIONS. One of those already established is a surprise getaway each year to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Well at least a surprise for one of us since we switch off planning the getaway. This year was Jill's turn...we spent a great weekend in Houston with some surprise guests on the Hoffman side. Birdie and Scoops met us. Uncle Chad performed his first wedding ceremony outside of Houston that weekend so the timing was perfect to get together with him and Aunt Heather too.
A special part of the surprise weekend was a half day at NASA. As you can see in the picture here, I would never have survived a mission to outer space. My big cranium would not even fit into the helmet. That could certainly pose a few problems.
I had hoped to share a portion of another special FAMILY TRADITION, but the video file was too large to download. This year marked the first annual edition of the Scott Family- Year in Review. It is a montage of pics and video throughout the year set to music.
We were not able to get a picture of all the surprise guests unfortunately, but there were some choice ones reserved for the 2008 edition of our Year in Review.
