Brodie loves to read...no, not on his own just yet, though he does tell us about the pictures on every page. He constantly brings books to Mommy and me so he can sit in our lap and read them together. It is a pretty cute scene...he wears out a path from either the living room or our bedroom to his room where all the books are kept. We have built up a pretty good library that he chooses a different book from for literally at least an hour.
Earlier this week Mommy decided to move our step-stool into Brodie's bathroom so she could teach him to wash his hands by himself. Well it was a quick lesson because no sooner had she put the stool down than Brodie climbed onto it, reached out, turned on the water, washed with soap, and then dried off his hands. You can see him in this proud moment above.
No more pictures to share but here are a few other cute developments...
1) Brodie learned how to play catch with the basketball last month. Now we can throw and catch together.....what a great concept!
2) Brodie loves to be naked and to proclaim his nakedness (his term is Nay-nay). Bath time is becoming a chore because we have to chase our naked little one around the house to catch him. He loves it!
3) As many of you know, Brodie has been talking for a while now (not talking sentences, but you know saying words), but these past several months have been so fun for all of us. He will say just about anything he hears (it's pretty scary, watch out!) and even has several 3 word sentences down now. He's hilarious! We love hearing him talk AND most of all he loves it that we can understand him too. It's beautiful.
