Name that State

Just minutes before we got in the car to head to Ruidoso for Christmas (pics of that trip coming up) we gave Brodie an early Christmas present to open. We knew it would be fun for him and a great way to spend some of the LONG car ride. And boy did we score with this one! Brodie has really been into finding different license plates over the last few months so I got online and found the perfect game (thanks Mom for the helpful suggestion). It's a Melissa & Doug board game that got tons of great reviews....and now I know why. It matches the license plate to each State accordingly and it is made so you can't lose the plates- genious idea! When you flip the plate over, it has the name of the State and it's capital as well. You can play teams or individually and you can even learn the abbreviations for each State too. Man, Brodie has held tight to this game and takes it everywhere we go. He found at least 30 different license plates on our trip to Ruidoso! So cool and it really kept him occupied (& us too as we had to get close enough to cars and/or drive faster or slower just to see the plates).
