For Kyle, it was a drive down memory lane as we headed to Ruidoso to spend Christmas. It's quite a long drive so we split it up into 2 days. On day 2, we spent a little bit of time in Lamesa, a small town where Kyle spent much of his youth. His grandparents lived there & together they made many fond memories. Kyle allowed Brodie to experience some of the fun he had growing up by letting him drive to the "big hole". Now supposedly "no cars" drove down this road so I had no reason to be concerned, right? So, I was OK with it until we began passing not 1, not 2, but 3 trucks on this little road. What happened to the no cars thing??? Geez! Brodie had a blast steering and even turning into the building where we FINALLY switched drivers again. Thank goodness Lamesa is 7 hours away so the drives to the big hole are few and far between :)
We had a great time in Ruidoso with family on Kyle's side...we played in the snow on the mountain, opened gifts, played games, and we even had a visit from Santa! We were so thankful that he didn't forget about us in the mountains :) Merry Christmas!

What a memory making Christmas with the whole family together at last! Having all the kids, grandkids, Aunt Pam, Uncle Ben, and Gigi was so much fun. My favorite was the mountain snow fun and the Cowboy Church candlelight service at the Flying J on Christmas Eve. Thanks for making the long drive to complete the circle of fun with family!Love to you all-Nana
