Brodie's actual birthday fell on a Tuesday this year so after camp/work, we packed a few snacks and headed for Six Flags. It was a surprise to Brodie so he was MORE than excited when he found out where we were going (if you know Brodie at all then you can imagine just how giddy he was about this)! I went into this evening thinking we were going to melt, but we were all pleasantly surprised. No, it wasn't cool or anything close to that, BUT there was lots of shade and plenty of rides that provided some relief. I don't even think Brodie noticed how hot he was...he LOVED it! And according to him, it was the perfect thing to do on his special day.
Brodie, I cannot believe you are our big 5 year old now! This year has gone by faster than the last 4 combined and it's been full of joy and blessings (& some trials too :) We love you so much and are still completely overwhelmed with the goodness of the Lord in that He would allow us to be your parents. You are an amazing young boy...full of joy and determination. Your love for life and everyone close to you is contagious and beautiful. We love you!!! Thank you for being you....YOU will always be my pumpkin! Happy Birthday Brodie!
