Reunited...at last!

FINALLY!!! After work on Thursday, Kyle and I jumped in the car and took off for Austin. We didn't care what time we got there (it was close to midnight!). We just wanted to see Brodie bright and early Friday morning. And an early morning it was! Kyle couldn't stand it any longer so at the first sound of a cough from Brodie -at 6:30am- we brought Brodie to bed with us :) Oh man, we hugged and laughed and talked for 1 1/2 hrs straight! It was a sweet reunion and believe it or not, Brodie did say he missed us! I know this is SO silly, but you know when parents are away from their child for longer than normal, they (OK the mom's) always say, "Oh, you grew while I was gone!" when we see them again? Well, that's exactly how we saw it...pretty sure Brodie grew taller and lost a few pounds from all the activity! Anyway, we didn't get any pictures of our first moments with Brodie, but I did get a few of our fun weekend. My sister invited Heather, Chad, & Brooks to come over to her house on Saturday and offered to have a few of our Austin friends over as well. It was such a blessing to see our sweet friends that we met early on in Dallas, the Brown's, as well as my long time, good friend Jill and her kiddos (missed you Russell). We hung out by the pool and my sisters cooked up some delicious meals. What an awesome day! Thanks family and friends for a great weekend!
