Bummer Allergies

We finally got Brodie in to see an Allergy Specialist last week and the results, well....aren't all that great. We knew he had some b/c he has struggled with all the symptoms (especially this spring), but we didn't realize they were so bad. He is officially allergic to almost everything outdoors- all grass, every kind of tree, cedar, oak, etc. as well as cats and dogs. Ugh! Our boy longs to be outside every minute of the day so this is definitely a big problem. There are varying severity levels that one can fall under and of course, Brodie was most severe. Poor guy. We are glad to know/have the results, but now we have some decisions to make as far as what to do about this. The meds he is taking seem to be helping, but chances are very high that they won't be completely effective. Brodie did great with the actual poking that they did on his back, but he did not like the burning sensation that came for 20 minutes after that :( He wasn't allowed to move & we couldn't touch his back. What a helpless feeling to have to watch him in pain & not be able to do anything about it. All in all, he was a champ during the whole 2 hour appointment!
