Karate Kid

Actually it was Taekwondo, but there weren't any cool 1980's movies that everyone remembers called the Taekwondo Kid. Last Saturday, the Scott Family Trio headed out to the Garland-Rowlett area to surprise our good friend Henry. He has been taking Taekwondo for some time now and was testing for his Red belt/Black stripe (the last one before the Black belt). Part of the test was breaking a series of 3 boards with different kick techniques. I was the proud holder of one of those boards. Brodie really enjoyed watching the lengthy routines that each group went thru prior to the board breaking tests. There were some instructors observing from another dojo dressed in black outfits, but I don't think they were Cobra Kai (for those who may not know, Cobra Kai are the "bad guys" in Karate Kid). After Henry broke his final board, we all started singing, "You're the best around..." (the hit song from the movie)
