Here is what took place before Birdie & Scoops arrived in Dallas: one evening, Kyle and I found Brodie in his room talking to B & S on the phone. He was just talking away, as if he were part of a very serious conversation. We got a tiny glimse of what a teenagers life might look like on a more consistent basis. It made us giggle....for now anyway :) He was so excited for B & S to be here and wanted to discuss all of our plans that we had in the works during our 4 days together. We actually had to take the phone away from him after 15 minutes or something. Crazy!
And here are a few pictures of our weekend together. We saw a movie, hit the park, played some basketball & soccer, went to the zoo, had great food, and played until we couldn't play anymore! We even made time for a little shopping :) Thanks Birdie and Scoops for a super fun weekend!

Brodie needed to find 2 more States to complete his Stateboard (New Hampshire and Rhode Island) & look what we came across in the zoo parking lot....New Hampshire (thanks Scoops)! He was so proud :)

Brodie's favorite part of the zoo (this time anyway!)- the giraffes. He waited so patiently to try and feed them, but they never came. Maybe next time.
