Christmas Day

There is nothing like Christmas morning! I thought we would all be getting up at the crack of dawn with Brodie & Brooks, but instead we got to sleep in until 8am. Wow. Late yes, but make no mistake. They were not lacking in any excitement to run downstairs and see what Santa brought. What a fun morning! Chad led us in a family devotional and we even sang a few songs together. What a great way to stay focused on Christ- the whole reason we were celebrating in the first place. Later that morning the boys made a birthday cake for Jesus. It was a three tiered cake: green, chocolate, and red cake with white icing. And on top it had yellow stars....all the colors representing the Gospel of Christ. The boys had fun singing happy birthday to Jesus and explaining the cake to the rest of the family later on that day (by singing the Gospel Fuzzies song). It was another fun evening with family over at the house and of course, yummy food and more presents. Thanks, family, for a GREAT Christmas celebration!

Playing in the hot tub is a favorite activity-
Brodie looks forward to it every time we go to Birdie & Scoops house
